Essay

The thesis presents the results of research of the study on the influence of hybridization of a female CMS component of sugar beet with a male component - table beet - on morphlogical traits, productivity and indexes of technological quality of F1 and F2 hybrid plants. For the first time, a scheme of hybridization and selection for development of breeding materials with rounded root shape was perfected and experimentally confirmed. Type of inheritance of root shape in F1 hybrid plants was ascertained, features of splitting in F2 hybrid plants of root color and shape were determined. Parental components and hybrid samples were evaluated for their productivity and principal indexes of their technological quality.
