Object - memory development in the youth age; objective - to define the influence of the mnemonic abilities figurative component development on the formation of the foreign abilities of the future foreign languages professors of the preschool education system; methods - theoretical and methodological analysis; the psychological data systematization and generalization, stating experiment, forming experiment, mathematical statistics methods; novelty - it has been revealed for the first time that individuals giving preference to the figurative techniques for remembering the texts in native language don't use such techniques in obtaining the foreign textual information; there has been widened the idea of the psychological peculiarities of the foreign abilities by revealing the correlation between the ability to determine the sound-sing connection and ability to distinguish the English sounds, between the ability to formulate the definition of the notions and to imagine the synonyms, between "sense of the language" and "sense of grammar" of the foreign languages students; there has been widened the notion of the influence of the development means of the figurative component of mnemonic abilities, included in the structure of the foreign language training methodology, on the foreign abilities of the foreign languages students; there have been improved the psychodiagnostics means of the mnemonic and foreign abilities by including the stating methodical complex "Investigation of the mnemonic techniques structure preferable for remembering the material"; there have been further developed the directions of the figurative memory techniques application by creating the means system of the mnemonic abilities development for the future foreign languages professors of the preschool education; there has been further developed the characteristic of the role of the development means of the mnemonic abilities figurative component in the structure of the future preschool professors training methodology; results - selection of the research methods complex of the mnemonic and foreign abilities and creation of the means system of the mnemonic abilities development that may be used during teaching foreign languages in the higher education establishment; field of research - psychology
