Basic periods and peculiarities of the branch research development in Podillya, dynamics of development, features and types of research institutions are defined. Types, approaches and results of the scientific and research work of the agrarian scientists of Podillya, their publishing activity that facilitated spreading of scientific foundations in agronomy are analyzed. Social and cultural components of the agronomy development in Podillya province - from private seed-breeding companies and pomological nurseries to the problems of functioning of Zemstvo's agronomists are determined. Thematics and results of researches for the institutions for further development of the domestic agrarian science are analyzed. The process of public opinion consolidation in agronomy in Podillya province - from the membership in common imperial branch unions to starting local agricultural company and organization of the system of agronomy assistance for people is studied.
