The research is dedicated to the formation of professional pedagogical competence of athletic gymnastics coaches during the professional training in the university. Its urgency is caused by great socially important perspectives of gymnastics coach teaching in the market of sports services. On the basis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature it is found the specific character of professional pedagogical competence formation of the future athletic gymnastics coach; it lies in the necessity of reproduction of the main parameters of future professional activity in the cognitive, behavioral, motivationally valuable and emotional-volitional spheres of professionals during the professional training.
