Essay

The object of study is glucocorticoid status and processes of arresting the pathological disorders in rats and guinea pigs with a model of bronchial asthma during treatment with dexamethasone and transplantation of native and cryopreserved organotypic cultures of adrenal glands of newborn piglets. The aim was to study the comparative aspect of respiratory hyperactivity in animals (rats, guinea pigs) with bronchial asthma at dexamethasone therapy and xenotransplantation of native and cryopreserved organ cultures. Methods of research are sensibilisation, organotypic cultivation, transplantation, photocolorimetry, tracheal ectomy, determination of circulating immune complexes, the test of spontaneous rosette formation of T-lymphocyte cytochemical determination by radioimmunoassay, cryopreservation, light microscopy, histological analysis. Scientific novelty is suppressing effect of xenotransplantation of native and cryopreserved organotypic cultures of the adrenal glands of newborn piglets on pathological processes developing in bronchial asthma. Practical implications are the possibility of practical application of the method of xenotransplantation as an alternative to glucocorticoid therapy.
