The thesis gives theoretical generalization and new solving of the scientific problem of disclosure of the nature of the functioning of psychological defense mechanisms of the rescuers at different professional situations. The close connection is proved to exist between individually-typological and individually-psychological and certain mechanisms of psychological defense of the rescuer.
