Polischuk L. Social and Cultural Activities of Clubs in Ukraine (late 20th - early 21st cent.)

The dissertation examines the social and cultural activities of clubs in Ukraine in the late 20th - early 21st century, identifies the current status of research on the topic in academic literature, ascertains the semantics, etymology and polysemy of the notion of "club" in the categorical and conceptual system of cultural studies, reviews the history of club formation and development in Ukraine, characterizes the functions and content of the contemporary social and cultural activities in clubs of various types and kinds. Based on the analysis and consolidation of the practical activities in contemporary clubs, the relevant issues of the social and cultural activities in Ukrainian clubs have been determined, and some prospective solutions have been suggested.
