Essay

Materials concerning peculiarities of pharmacodynamics and toxicokinetics of alpha-tocopherol acetate and sodium selenite in laying hens are presented in the paper. Morphological changes in liver and spleen under the conditions of excessive long-term receipt of alpha-tocopherol acetate and sodium selenite with feed have been studied. New data concerning pharmaco-toxicodynamics and kinetics of alpha-tocopherol and sodium selenite under the conditions of overdose long-term receipt of the organism of laying hens has been obtained. Embryotoxic effect of alpha-tocopherol and sodium selenite under the conditions of excessive long-term receipt of the organism of hen layers has been proved. It declares itself by death of embryos on all stages of incubation and causes pathologic changes: reduce of skeleton strength, dotted hemorrhage, edema in the hind head, back, keel zones, ulcers on the mucous coat of gizzard, hypoplasia of muscular tissue in gizzard, cholecystitis, urine acid diathesis, and appearance in chickens of following pathologies: extremity atony, and open abdominal cavity. New original method of alpha-tocopherol detection in biological objects by spectrometric method, which satisfies the requirements of "Instruction concerning application of analytical methods and interpretation of results EU 657/2002", has been developed. Optimal dose concerning application of alpha-tocopherol and selenium at growing of laying hens have been determined.
