Essay

The dissertation deals with the formation of the readiness for self- knowledge among the intending border-guard officers in the process of physical training and the influence of the complex of components on the formation of the readiness for the self-knowledge that ensures an increase in the level of the students' physical training. Five structural components have been determined in the research: motivational and evaluative, cognitive, activity, physical and volitional, evaluative and correctional, creative and transformational. The components are introduced by the individual psychological features and capacities of the person and are formed in the process of his assimilation, and also by the pedagogical conditions of this process realization in terms of "Physical education" and "Personal security and use of force". Also, there has been determined a close correlative dependence among all of the defined components of self-knowledge. The presented structural and functional model of the formation of the students' readiness for self-knowledge contains the following structural blocks: the goal of self-knowledge, methodological approaches, functions of self-knowledge, components, criteria, the stages of readiness, the objects of self-knowledge, kinds of self-knowledge, factors of self-knowledge, the organizational and pedagogical, personality-oriented conditions of the process supply.
