Duba D. Dynamics and correction of clinical, neurological, biochemical abnormalities, the state of cerebral hemodynamics before and after surgical treatment of atherosclerotic stenosis of the carotid arteries

The dissertation is devoted to examining the changes of cerebral hemodynamics and levels of lipid profile, lipid peroxidation, indices of blood coagulation system in con-junction with the clinical picture of chronic cerebral insufficiency in various tactics of treatment and duration of observation of patients with symptomatic atherosclerotic carotid stenosis. In patients with symptomatic stenosis formed precerebral arteries isolated subtypes of hyperlipidemia, (with fairly frequent high level of LDL choles-terol (type IIb)), which are individual risk factor for recurrent ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attacks. Shows the relationship and the analysis of disorders of cerebral hemodynamics with indicators of lipid and coagulate-hologram (ADP-aggregation, SFMC, APTT), lipid peroxidation, and homocysteine on the basis of data obtained a modified method of the complex drug therapy for prevention of stroke. Assessment of the quality of life of patients after carotid endarterectomy on the basis of neuropsychological examination using the ball adapted questionnaire (EQ-5D) and visual analog scale. Confirmed the effectiveness of carotid endarteriec-tomy and proposed monitoring patients to prevent restenosis and cerebrovascular events.
