Object of research is a process of development of students' valeological competence. The purpose - to develop a theoretical basis and technology development valeological competence of students and experimentally verify its implementation in the process of personal and social safety training. The necessity of students' valeological competence development and opportunities of personal and social safety training lessons have been defined. Step-by-step technology of students' valeological competence development in the process of personal and social safety training has been developed and grounded. The technology contains diagnostic and analytical, motivated and stimulated, theoretical and practical as well as reflexive and estimated stages. The system of valeological competence criteria and rates has been formulated, levels of its development have been characterized. The experimental work results in the improvement of students' valeological competence under the process of the mentioned above technology adaptation. Application branch is a system of education.
