Essay

The dissertation studies the problem of system of complex speech therapy provided for families which bring up the child with speech disorders. A diagnostic model to study the interaction between the parents whose children have speech disorders and speech therapists is worked out. The programme of the logopedic support that was developed and tested substantially contributed to the priority areas: informative, diagnostic, consultative and correctional ones that are presented by the corresponding blocks for different age categories. The overall objectives of the logopedic support were identified, namely the development of the logopedic competenceof the parents; the prevention of the problems connected with the child development; the help (support) provided for the child in solving urgent tasks of development, namely the ones that are connected with speech. The process of involving the parents of infants into organized informative scope of the speech therapy contributed to the increase of motivational need of parents to control speech development of the child and to seek consciously the logopedic help in case of speech disorders. The implementation of the programme of the logopedic support also contributed to the improvement of the effectiveness of speech therapy in accordance with the results of correctional work.
