Object analyses of dissertational work are the manufacturing techniques of high speed cutting steel (spiral drills). The purpose of the given work is improve-ment of quality and productivity of finishing processing axial cutting tools with vacuum ionic-plasma coating by perfection of structural and technological mainte-nance processes on the basis of morphological and functional-focused synthesis of rational structure operations. To carry out the research and analysis were used the following methods: principles of machine building technology and mechanical engineering, Based on the functional-oriented synthesis of the mechanical engineering technologies, statistical methods. The received results possess following scientific and practical value: 1. The fundamentals synthesis of rational structures of the combined finish-ing technological processes of the axial cutting tools which are based on developed functional-oriented approaches. 2. Our studies are provide and establish for the first time, that maintenance and change cutting edge radius along the main cutting edge in functional depend-ence on changing of cutting speed along the main edge of drill provides equal dete-rioration along the cutting edge and increases stability of drill. 3. Results of the given work allow to raise stability of spiral drills 50-60 % in comparison with traditional nitride-titanic coating drills . 4. The device raising productivity for drawing vacuum ionic-plasma coating is created (patent № 48187 on 10.03.2010 (Ukraine)). 5. Introduced : on Open Society " Motor-sich " (Ukraine), Open Society " Rutchencovsky factory "Gormash" (Ukraine), at Donetsk national technical university (Ukraine). Area - the Machine-building enterprises of Ukraine.
