Essay

The role of intellectual property in the system of international economic relations is studied. It is grounded the essence of intellectual property as an economic category and the main trends of its development in the context of knowledge economy. It is shown, that the development of intellectual property is under the influence of globalization processes, the results of which are enhancing of international cooperation and strengthening the regulating functions of supranational institutions in this field.
