Object - attention of first-graders; objective - definition of attention development peculiarities of first-graders in their adaptation to training at school and their dynamics while the correctional- developing influence; methods - theoretical and methodological analysis, systematization and generalization of psychological data, psycho-pedagogical experiment, mathematical statistics methods; novelty - the interrelation between the development level of attention properties and style of parental relation was defined for the first time; it was found that a high level of concentration, resistance, productivity, efficiency of attention and its volume in their formation conditions is connected with governing styles of parental relation, namely "Authoritarian hypersocialization" and "Symbiosis"; means of defining the attention development level were improved by including in its characteristics a complex of such attention properties as concentration, productivity, volume, resistance, accuracy, utilization and resistance degree; the concept of peculiarities of interrelation between the separate attention properties and readiness for training , between the self-appraisal and anxiety levels and first-graders' type of temperament was widened; the concept of influence of the attention development means of first-graders on the process of their adaptation to training was widened; the means of first-graders psychological maintenance while their adaptation to training were further developed by creating the correctional- developing program aimed to facilitate the attention properties involving its leading factors; the psychological characteristics of the primary school age was further developed by including the styles of parental relations into the system of the attention development factors; results - design of a diagnostic complex and correctional-developing program aimed to improve the level of the attention properties development of first-graders which can be used by school psychologists and junior school teachers; results of the thesis can be used during the professional training of the students of pedagogical and psychological specialities, advanced training students; field - psychology
