Object - psychological factors of the students' educational activity; objective - to characterize and reveal psychological factors interrelation that ensure realization of unassisted work in the students' educational activity, and to define the peculiarities of its psychological follow-up; methods - theoretical and methodological analysis, systematization and generalization of psychological data, psycho-pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty - it was the first time when during the description of the cognitive- regulative students' abilities there were revealed: connection between stylistic features of the students' activity self-regulation and predominant means of unassisted work, connection between meta-memory and meta-linguistic abilities, connection between the development level of meta-linguistic abilities and content means of unassisted work, connection between meta-memory development level and general self-regulation level, connection between meta-linguistic abilities development level and content means of unassisted work; the concept of the factors of the successful organization of unassisted work was widened by their division into 3 groups: motivational, instrumental and cognitive- regulative; the concept of preconditions of the students' unassisted work organization was widened by establishing relations between the students' assessment of the educational establishment organizational culture and features of the unassisted work motives; the means of the psychological follow-up of the successful organization of unassisted work in the students' educational activity were improved by creating the development program based on taking into account the internal and external factors of the successful organization of the students' unassisted work; comparison characteristics of the scientific researches of the students' unassisted work was further developed by defining distinctions of pedagogical, general psychological and psycho-pedagogical directions; characteristics of the students' instrumental abilities was further developed by defining advantages in selection of the realization means of the students' unassisted work; characteristics of the motives features in the complex of the internal preconditions of the successful realization of the students' unassisted work organization was further developed; results - selection of the diagnostic complex and creation of the development program aimed to ensure the necessary preconditions of the successful realization of the students' unassisted work organization when these preconditions can be used while the training courses for the students of psychological and other specializations; field - psychology
