Nairulin A. Cultural-Historical and Pragmalingual Components in the Epistolary of Writers of the Beginning of the 20th Century

The thesis deals with the analysis of the peculiarities of expression of cultural-historical and pragmaligual components based on the material of M. Kotsyubynskyi's and his contemporaries letters. It is found out that the former one can be expressed both extra-linguistically and intra-linguistically. The cultural and situational-psychological connotations become important in the cultural-historical aspect. The epistolary style is close to the journalistic one due to its extralingual structure and remains close to the belletristic and conversational ones due to its linguistic structure. At the same time this style is characterized by the customary and occasional connotations. It is proved that the epistolary style inherits connotational formulas which are represented in the forms of address, wish, request and post-scriptum which mainly have positive connotations as well as in phraseologisms in which negative connotations dominate.
