Vasylieva M. Foreign Aid in the System of Foreign Policy Priorities of the United States.

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of the foreign aid as an instrument of the foreign policy of the United States as applied with the aim of achieving the U.S. national interests. The scientific problem of the research consists in the evaluation of the cause-and-effect relations between the U.S. national interests and transformational approaches to the place and role of the foreign assistance in the system of priorities of the U.S. foreign policy, as well as the use of the instrument of foreign aid in countering global challenges as equally important addition to the traditional foreign policy instruments.The paper is based on the theoretical and methodological analysis of the subject by Ukrainian and international scientists and evidential background comprised of strategic documents on national security and foreign policy of the United States, assessments of the research centers, analytical and statistical data of international organizations, reviews of the U.S. State Department, U.S. Congress and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) among others.
