The thesis is devoted to the problem to methodical principles of research activity of senior pupils from history of Ukraine in the process of co-operation of school and museum. During research the features of collaboration of general establishments and museums are exposed on the different historical stages. It is grounded system of the use of museum display by pupils in the process of research activity. It is proved that the level of formed of research skills of pupils rises at the terms of observance of row of principles of effective development of research skills. On the basis of theoretical generalizations the didactics model of development of research skills of pupils is developed, which foresees complex, stage-by-stage and systematic realization of pedagogical measures and its efficiency is experimentally tested in the process of research.
