Essay

The researcher has conducted a complex analysis of European Neighbourhood Policy as an aspect of the EU foreign policy and has studied the basis of its appearance, its main mechanisms and instruments and the reasons for its further transformations. The dissertation studies the concequences of coming into force by the Lisbon Treaty on 1 December 2009, in particular in the sphere of EU foreing policy. The document which for the first time in the history of the EU defines the clear basement of the European Union international legal standing and foresees institutional innovations and alterations within the European Union.
