The formation of professional competence of future district militia inspectors and the definition of the term "competence" are analyzed in the research; the essence and specific peculiarities of the professional competence of future district militia inspectors are defined; components, criteria, indices and levels of professional competence are grounded. The model of professional competence of future district militia inspectors in the professional training at the higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and pedagogical conditions (aquistion of personal experience of the service and professional activity execution by cadets in accordance with the Charter; motivation of future district militia inspectors for reflection of their professional activities according to their professional competence; staged professionalism in theoretical and practical training of cadets as future district militia inspectors) are theoretically defined and experimentally verified.
