An optimized step-by-step model of delivering medical care to stroke patients has been based, developed and adopted. The distinguishing model features are the following: educating health care workers and general public about stroke symptoms and the algorithm of actions in case of its onset, shortening pre-hospital period and streamlining diagnosing process in specialized stroke and neurorehabilitation units.
