The essence, content and peculiarities of future border-guards' professional legal competence formation have been revealed in the dissertation. The key competences and their components have been defined; levels of future border-guards' professional competence formation have been grounded. The pedagogical technology of the future border-guards' professional legal competence formation has been developed; the technology includes the following blocks and their components: conceptional block (purpose, principles and functions of studying, professional and legal competences), procedural block (organizational pedagogical conditions, teaching process stages), program and methodical block (modes, methods, measures, principles, methodical recommendations), evaluation block (competences, stages), final result (formed professional legal competence of border-guards) .
