Dissertation work is dedicated to the problem of leadership process management, leader in male and female sports teams taking into account personal peculiarities of athletes. The advancement of athletes on the leader's position in the business and emotional sphere among the teams of the first and super leaque is determined by various personal characteristics. Significant interconnection of business and emotional leadership type with such personal athlete's characteristics: business - introversion, leadership, qualities, hyperleadership, individualism, dependence (from other), tendency to kindheartedness, team term; emotional - introversion, dependence, "direction to fight", friendliness, distrust, age, team term is set in men's teams. In women's teams the business and emotional types of leadership are interconnected with such athlete's characteristics as: business - rigidness, individualism, leader's qualities, androgens, age, sports sensitiveness, tendency to affiliation, self-responsibility in the sphere of family relations, leader's qualities, androgens, will-power and friendness.
