Gaidutskiy I. Regulation of foreign direct investment in the CIS countries in the context of economic transformation.

The thesis focuses on theoretical, methodological and institutional issues of foreign direct investment regulation, problems of investment climate and its liberalization in the CIS countries. The object of the research is the relationship that is formed in the process of foreign direct investment regulation in the context of globalization and economic transformation. The subject of the research is mechanism of FDI regulation in the CIS countries in the process of economic, as well as in Ukraine within its particular characteristics. The thesis defines the essence of regulatory processes in the economy and investment, the paradigm of economic contradictions of allocation of foreign direct investments in the CIS countries, the methodological scheme of investment regime regulatory cycle is proposed, based on the harmonization of the economic interests of foreign investors and recipient countries, the key issues of investment climate and its liberalization in the CIS countries are highlighted, which determine the major challenges of the regulatory system of investment process, the substance and structure of institutional system of FDI regulation is reviewed, a number of econometric (correlation-regression) models are formulated and solved which define the influence of factors of economic transformation on the efficiency of investment regulation, the sectoral, institutional and innovation priorities for foreign direct investments regulation in the CIS countries and Ukraine are specified.
