Essay

Object - production of timber of radial and tangential sawing. Aim - improving of volume recovery (yield) for timber of radial and tangential sawing, its prediction subject to required characteristics of sawn timber and timber. Methods - method of mathematical simulation; experimental, observational, measuring, classification, analysis methods; methods of mathematical statistics and mathematical programming. Scientific novelty: new methods for determination of radial timber were proposed and validated; mathematical dependences for determination of angle between tangent line to annual rings and face taking to account elliptical shape of log cross section were developed; mathematical models of log sawing taking to account elliptical shape of log cross section by breakdown and segment method into radial timber and sector method into radial and tangential timber were developed. Results: new methods and means for increasing of resource-saving for timber of radial and tangential sawing were proposed and developed. The suitability of account of log cross section ellipticity and direction of sawcut orientation in production of timber of radial and tangential sawing was justified. Degree of implementation - results of study are implemented in production of timber of radial and tangential sawing in the private enterprise Shpak I.V., Limited Liability Company "ENO MEBLI LTD" and Limited Liability Company "Dobrobut".
