Object - physical rehabilitation of cancer patients in the postoperative period; aim - to develop and test the efficiency of program of physical rehabilitation of patients after mastectomy; methods: analysis and synthesis of literature sources; sociological; pedagogical; medical and biological and calculation of functional indices and coefficients; methods of mathematical statistics; novelty - the algorithm of physical rehabilitation process of women second mature age after mastectomy first has been developed and rationalized for the first time; the card and the algorithm of rehabilitation examination have been worked out for the first time, violation of physical, functional and emotional status of patients have been found out, objective and means of physical rehabilitation have been defined; the program of physical rehabilitation for women of second mature age after mastectomy have been scientifically grounded and verified for the first time; the positive impact of the developed program upon the functional state of the musculoskeletal system, respiratory and cardiovascular systems, as well as psycho-emotional status and quality of life after the operation have been found out; theoretical information on the prevention of postmasteсtomу complications and problems of physical rehabilitation after mastectomy particularly, use of different means of physical rehabilitation have been supplemented; results - practical recommendations for physical rehabilitation specialists for work with patients of this nosology to prevent secondary complications have been developed; the results of the studies have been introduced into educational process, into practice of specialized medical institutions and rehabilitation centers and non-government organizations; field - physical education and sport.
