Object - the systems of classification in paralimpic sport; aim - theoretical and methodological substantiation of preserved movable abilities of paralimpic sportsmen in the classification system for powerlifting; methods: theoretical analysis and generalization; documentary methods; sociological methods; pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment; instrumental methods for the empirical: muscle testing, goniometry, dynamometry; mathematic statistic methods; novelty - for the first time the classification system for powerlifting which is based on preserved movable abilities of paralimpic sportsmen has been developed; the means of objectification of the classification system for paralimpic sport has been substantiated; theoretical and methodological substantiation of handicap has been done; results - the efficiency and of considering classification system for powerlifting have been approved; the efficiency of considering handicap coefficient for taking into account preserved movable abilities of powerlifting sportsmen have been substantiated; results of research put into educational process for students of Lviv State University of Physical Culture and National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine; activity in the governing bodies of sport of invalids of regional and national levels; field - physical education and sport.
