Essay

The peculiarities, forms, object and extent of the most favored nation principle are observed in this scientific work. The author also determines the role of the most favored nation principle in the modern economic legal relations. It is argued that the formation of the most favored nation principle is related with some historical, geographical, political and mostly economic conditions. The periodization of its evolution is proposed. It is proved that the most favored nation principle became an imperative principle of the modern international law. It is explored that the most favored nation principle is the base of the World Trade Organization system. It is shown that the fact that Ukraine become a member state to the WTO influenced on the extend of the most favored nation principle in its international trade. It is also analyzed international treaties of Ukraine provided with the most favored nation principle. Respective changes to the Ukrainian legislation are proposed.
