The thesis is devoted to the problem of management competence of future masters in forestry during their professional training in higher education. Analysis of psychological and educational literature has been performed on the present problem. The peculiarities of the problem of management competence of future masters in forestry during their professional training in higher education were disclosed there. It is substantiated the pedagogical conditions of formation of management competence of future masters in forestry in the course of their training at the university in the study. The urgency of the problems of management training and management competence of future masters in forestry at the university are analyzed. It is defined the essence of the concept of "management competence of master in forestry", substantiated the structure, content of the management competence of future masters in forestry and clarified the criteria for its evaluation. There were grounded pedagogical conditions and model of their management competence at the university. There were experimentally tested pedagogical conditions of formation of management competence of future masters in forestry in the course of their training at the university, developed a set of appropriate training and methodological support to prepare them for management activities.
