Khanas I. Ukrainian traditions of the person nomination on Opillya territory

Object: Ukrainian traditions at the nomination of personality on territory of Opillya in all spectrum its customary-ritual realities, related to birth, first days of life, choice of the name for a new-born child. Purpose: historical-ethnographic reconstruction of traditions of the name of Ukrainians of territory of Opillya and complex scientific description it customary-ritual and world view elements. Methods: field supervision, in particular method of questionnaire and interview, comparative-historical, structural-functional, typological and complex analysis. Results: the complex approach is first applied to the study of theme; the aggregate of the customary-ritual phenomena is scalene analyzed in ethnocultural aspect on a general Ukrainian, all-slav and European background; an origin and primitive value of many elements of traditions of the name of personality is found out, system of the names which functioned and used to this day on the investigated territory is considered and analyzed. Sphere of the use: at preparation of the generalized monograph about Ukrainian traditions at the nomination of personality or for the special research some its components, for development separate themes in area of Ukrainian ethnography, ethnolinguistics, folkloristic, culturology; at a study ethnology and regional themes in didactics practice of secondary and higher school.
