Essay

The thesis is devoted to the historical and pedagogical analysis of formation and development of professional vocal education in Ukraine at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. On the basis of analysis of archive documents and scientific literature the social-political and social-cultural reasons and pre-conditions of formation and development of vocal education in Ukraine of the period studied are defined. The content, forms and methods of vocal education in educational establishments of different levels and types are exposed; the progressive historical pedagogical experience is defined and generalized.
