Sanchenko A. The Council of Europe Acquis in the European Law System.

This thesis presents an integrated theoretic and applied research on the valuable Council of Europe contribution into creation of the European law and its further development. The author regards it necessary to treat this contribution in the form of the CoE acquis (legal heritage) and elaborates the "CoE acquis" definition. The paper provides a number of newly formulated findings, as the place and the role of the CoE acquis are defined via multidimensional considerations. In particular, the author studies the correlations between the international universal law and the international regional - European, law; the paradigm of legal cooperation between the CoE and the EU; the CoE acquis' part within the European legal integration, which is realized by means of harmonization supported by the CoE strategic approach, institutional, administrative, expert and financial resources.
