Essay

For the first time the dissertation has the complex analysis of ways of evolution of calendar customs and ceremonies of the Ukrainians of Eastern Podillia during XX-the beginning XXI-centuries on the grounds of collected arhival materials,personal field ethnographical researches,study of scientific literature and local the press. It has been discovered transformational processes in the sphere festive-ritual culture at different stages of development of Ukrainian society:prekolkhoz era,soviet period,independence day. It has been illustrated regional aspects of forming soviet ceremonial its complicated interrelation with people*s festive calendar as in social so in family life. Results of investigation confirm important role of ethnic tradition for preservation of national ecology of culture and prove their ability for renewal and modernization.
