Object: professional education of environmental managers; aim: to ground theoretically and check experimentally the pedagogical conditions of forming future environmentalists’ readiness to professionally oriented managerial activity; methods: analysis of literature, comparison, generalization, systematization, modeling, pedagogical experiment, questionnaire, testing, expert evaluation, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: the pedagogical conditions of forming future environmentalists’ readiness to professionally oriented managerial activity are proved; results: the syllabus, educational materials, tutorial for the „Organization of management in environmental activity” are created, the syllabi for the „Environmental monitoring”, „Environmental impact assessment”, „Rating the anthropogenic load on environment”, „Biometry”, „Environmental modeling and forecasting” are renewed and expanded; field – theory and methods of professional education
