Promska O. Development of metabibliography in Ukraine (the end of XIX - beginning of XXI centuries)

The dissertation investigates development and present state of metabibliography in Ukraine, studies historical-bibliography aspects of evolution of Ukrainian metabibliographic resources at the end of ХІХ - the beginning of ХХІ centuries. It analyses the state of scientific study of problem, argues the practicability of introducing of the term "metabibliography" in scientific usage, makes base concepts of metabibliographic resources system more exact, gives definitions of each kind of indexes of bibliographic tools. It elucidates contribution of certain bibliographers and institutions to development of Ukrainian metabibliography. It describes in detail modern native metabibliographic resources and trends of it's further creation in digital environment. Unresolved issues of nowadays' Ukrainian metabibliography are identified. Specific actions regarding further development of metabibliography in Ukraine are proposed.
