Logvyniuk T. Development of science and technology of our country in 1951 – 1991. (On the materials of the magazine "Science and Society").

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis and generalization of the monthly magazine "Science and Society" journalism about the development of science and technology of our country in 1951 – 1991; the analysis of existing in the historiography methodological approaches, theoretical paradigms concerning the the problem of representation of actual scientific-technical progress problems of the Soviet period in periodical press; the definition of periodization of the magazine work from the point of view of changes of its content and directions of scientific themes under the influence of scientific-technical revolution, reforming of ideological accents and political situation of the totalitarian state; the research and introduction into scientific use of earlier unknown scientific articles of Soviet scientists, design engineers, inventors, rationalizers of production.The forms and methods of work of the magazine "Science and Society" with its readers, their participation in active discussion of actual problems of scientific and technical development are investigated in the dissertation.
