Dzebyh I. Global Investment Business Strategies in a Competitive Environment

The thesis focuses on the research into theoretical and practical aspects of the development and efficient implementation of corporate investment strategies in the global business environment. The sources, development factors and specific features of the investment globalism have been analysed; consequences of the economic cycle and crisis impacts on the global investment trends have been assessed. Considerable attention has been paid to uncovering the nature of the global investment market, its subject identification and structural/functional segmentation, and to detecting productive and reproductive properties. Contemporary corporate investment strategies have been identified and categorised in the paradigm of the global management; they have been subjected to the comparative analysis on the basis of quantitative and qualitative criteria of the implementation efficiency in a competitive environment. Special attention has been paid to the investment component of the global corporate leadership. A comprehensive assessment of methods and rules of the strategic investment decision making in a globally unstable business environment has been made. The need for the adaptation of the modern risk management tools in the international investment activities of the Ukrainian oil and gas sector companies has been substantiated, and forms of the said adaptation have been suggested.
