Dovgan O. Linguistic art of Ukrainian translators of children's literature of the second half of XX - beginning of XXI centuries

This thesis deals with the poetry of Ukrainian translators of children's literature of the second half of XX - beginning of XXI centuries. The research gives an integral language and stylistic analysis of linguistic peculiarities of Ukrainian translations of English children's literature. It revealed basic principles of the translations stylistics and its influence on the selection of works for translation and the specific stylistic decisions. The study provides with the comparative linguistics and stylistics analysis of original literary text and their translated variants on lexical and phraseological level and outlines the main stylistic peculiarities of literary texts translated variants. The investigation estimates translations according to their functional value in general, and their importance for the preservation and enrichment of the Ukrainian language and national culture in particular.
