The dissertation focuses on the problem of the 3-4 grade formers' creative abilities development in the process of working with different types of texts at Ukrainian language lessons. Linguistics, psycho-pedagogical and psycholinguistic fundamentals of young teachers' creative abilities development have been determined basing on the analysis of theoretical courses. The sense of such words as "creative abilities", "creativity", "lingua-creativity" has been defined, the structure of creative abilities has been specified. The criteria of 3-4 grade formers' creative abilities have been offered and the level of young learners' creative abilities has been defined as well. For the first time the text is considered as a linguistic basis of junior schoolchildren's lingua-creative abilities formation. A lingua-didactic model of creative abilities formation of young learners has been theoretically substantiated: the content of teaching has been specified, its principles have been outlined, the optimum teaching methods and techniques have been selected. The number of creative exercises contains a lot of tasks aimed at developing creative thinking and imagination, sense of the language and leads to perfect speech skills. The results of experimental teaching supply dependable grounds to consider the suggested methods effective for the development of young learners' abilities at Ukrainian language lessons.
