Kuzenko N. Features of structural changes in the economic development of post-Soviet states.

In dissertation we analyze specialities of structural changes in the economic development of post-Soviet states. We measured substance of structural change in transition economies, highlighted the typical characteristics of categories "structure of the economy" and "structural changes", analyzed and systematized methodological approaches to structural changes and their impact on economic development. Also it was generalized theoretical models of structural change and it was analyzed the structural distortions of the Soviet model of economic development. We analyzed in details the features of structural changes in the economies of post-Soviet states. We offered approaches and methods to structural distortion' and structural change' calculations; it was calculated and analyzed the dynamics of structural distortions and changes in the economies of post-Soviet states. Using the methods of mathematical and statistical analysis, we tested and measured the influence of structural changes on the key macroeconomic indicators of post-Soviet states. We offered mechanism of structural changes in post-Soviet economies. Particularly we strike attention on the need for a systematic and complex approach, where we have to account for not only economic but also institutional factors for implementing structural changes in transitional economies.
