Smuzhanytsya D. Borrowings as a result of language contacts (on the material of Ukrainian and French juridical terms)

The present thesis suggests a new approach to the comparative analysis of juridical terms-borrowings as the result of language contacts. The methods of juridical term-borrowings contrasting in Ukrainian and French languages were devised. The common and distinctive features of specific juridical term and term-borrowings in Ukrainian and French governmental conceptual apparatus were identified. The peculiarities of the semantic processes in Ukrainian and French juridical term systems were determined. The ways of terminological polysemy, homonymy and synonymy origin during the translingual terms analysis were analyzed. The main productive models of the juridical term-building with the borrowed element in Ukrainian and French languages were compared.
