The thesis is concerned with the comprehensive cultural science research of the revival of the Crimean Tatar theatre and applied and decorative arts during the repatriation of the deported Crimean Tatars. It was ascertained that the revival of the Crimean Tatar spiritual culture is a complex process whereby the spiritual experience of the Crimean Tatar ethnos is enriched through the reproduction of value content of phenomena, standards, ideals, relationships, and behavior and their passing from generation to generation. The research traced the development of the applied and decorative arts and theatre in 1990-2010. It identified the core problems and challenges of the Crimean Tatar cultural revival. The factors that play the crucial role in the development of the Crimean Tatar theatre and applied and decorative arts include the Ukrainian social system; social and demographic condition of the Crimean Tatar ethnic group; social and cultural development of the Crimean Tatars and the material resources of their culture; the educational level; the spiritual and professional character of Crimean Tatar intelligentsia; level of self-organization of the Crimean Tatar ethnos; the influence of international affairs and relations on the revival of the Crimean Tatar culture. The thesis also identified the role of control in the revival of theatre and applied and decorative arts.
