Essay

We studied the processes of electricity in power circuits of traction and external power supply of the electric traction system of direct current main railways of Ukraine. The aim is to increase efficiency and power quality in these systems is based on the assessment and reduction of unproductive (additional) energy losses. Feeder monitoring of voltages and currents implemented in real operating conditions of electrified railway stations of the Dnieper through the classical methods of measurement and their subsequent treatment of the theory of random processes. Determination of capacity and energy indicators, carried out in the thesis developed a new method of correlation functions. The analytical and graphical dependences of unproductive and productive energy losses from time to time, as well as reactive and active power, recommended the development of technical requirements for the electrification of the new rail sections. The results of theses accepted for use on electrified railway Dnieper. Expected annual economic benefit to one between the substation area is 401 149 USD. a year.
