Peculiarities of the Ukrainians' traditional everyday culture (second half of the XIX th - early XX th century) are studied by the means of the archival and documentary sources, ethnographic, culturological and art-historical science works systematic analysis. The dissertation examines a traditional everyday activity, a material and spiritual culture of the Ukrainians in their interaction with the environment. A comparative analysis of the particular elements of the Ukrainians', Russians' and Byelorussians' traditional everyday culture is carried out. The science work also looks into ways of conserving the nature on the basis of the East Slavonic nations' demonic conceptions.
