The оbject of the research – heroism as a social phenomenon. The complex and systematic researches of the cultural studies essence of the phenomenon of heroism was realized. The dialectics of the mutual relations between the hero and society was viewed. Hero’s leading role in spiritual and cultural development of people was investigated. The socio-cultural analysis of the Ukraine children notion about the heroism was made. The approaches to study a heroism in the philosophical and cultural studies ideas of XX-XXI centuries was demonstrated. The field of knowledge is culture theory and history, cultural studies.
