Syhenco I. Lugansk steam-engine-building plant as a phenomen of development of domestic steam-engine-building (1896-1956).

The dissertation is dedicated to the research on the history of formation and functioning of Lugansk steam-engine-building plant (1896-1956). Here is analyzed the background of formation and growth of steam-engine-building industry in the Russian empire, particularly socio-economic development of the country in the second half of XIX and in the beginning of XX century is characterized, the participation of foreign particularly German capital in the enlargment of the domestic steam-engine-building is elucidated. There is shown the role of monopolistic syndicate "Prodparovoz" in the manufacturing of domestic steam-engines, the panoramic history of formation steam-engine-building industry in the Russian empire and Ukraine is elucidated. A separate chapter is dedicated to the foundation and development of Lugansk steam-engine-building plant. However, the biggest chapter "Engineering and scientifically-technical activity of the Lugansk steam-engine-building plant" is dedicated to the description of freight and passanger's steam-engine-building by certain periods in the Russian empire and soviet Ukraine.
