Demidenko N. The activity of P.I. Prokopovych (1775-1850) in the formation and development of native Beekeeping Science

The object of research is the development beekeeping science in the first half of the XIX century. The subject of research is the life of Prokopovich P/I/, his scientific, organizational, pedagogical and social and public activity. The scientific goals are the following: to analyze the level of the scientific elaboration of the problem and its source basis, to summarize well known and to bring to the scientific circulation little known pages from P.I. Prokopovich biography, to work over and analyze the principle directions of the scientist's researches, to analyze Prokopovich's pedagogical activity and its importance in the training of the highly-analified specialists for beekeeping sector and further development of the domestic education and science, to find out the periodization of P.I. Prokopovich life and scientific activity. The general scientific (analyze, synthesis) and historical (problem-chronological, comparative-historical) methods are used in the research.
