Essay

The purpose of research was to determine the changes of cytoarchitectonics and DNA apoptosis-specific degradation of esophageal mucosa cells, serum cytokines, parameters of lipoperoxidation, mononitrogen oxides cycle, concentrations of glycolysis metabolites in the blood and tissues of rats under the experimental esophagitis, hypothyroidism, their combined actions and the application of melatonin. Іt was found that hypothyrosis decreases the activity and efficiency of adaptative processes of esophageal mucosa under the condition of ulcerogenesis dramaticly. The universal cytoprotective effect of melatonin was proved in all groups of animals.
