Kanevskyi V. Psychological features of parasuicidal conduct of personality.

The dissertation research is devoted to the features of parasuicidal conduct and peculiarities of parasuicident personality. Theoretical grounds are provided to distinguish properly the notions of "suicide", "suicicde attempt" and "parasuicide". The psychological features of parasuicident's conduct are proved as manifesting predominantly in neuroticism, rational activity disturbance and the specific hopelessnes experience. The four groups of reasons of suicidal actions are exposed, those being inflated feeling of guilt, impossibility to give a rebuff in the situation of conflict, situational intolerance and some subjectively overvalued purpose or activity. It is established that suicident's ability to produce aims is low, they give an advantage to short aims comparing with distant and perspective ones, and the aim to self-actualize themselves is lacking in those persons. It is shown that parasuicidal personality do not aspire towards self-development, as this does not make any sense for them in some prospective future, and they live by mostly shallow and superficial emotional situation.
